Emma Shipley has designed two prints for the New Wave Collective for Graham & Brown. Her botanical detailed pencil drawings are part-inspired by the designs of Morris. Shipley says: ‘The designs are a modern take on traditional Arts & Crafts patterns, given an exotic and surreal edge,’

Evaluation:

I love these monochrome designs of beautiful hummingbirds, cheetah-spotted leaves and leopard-print butterflies. Truly unique flowing botanical designs very similar to Morris's papers but with a modern twist. Still very busy but not overpowering. Your eyes flow seamlessly across the straight repeats looking for details in the detailed illustrations.
